Where to stay
After a full day wandering Millpond’s streets, woods, and waterfronts, you’ve earned somewhere worth collapsing into. Whether that’s a luxurious lakeside hideaway, a creaky heritage cabin tucked up in the hills, or one of our character-packed downtown inns, Millpond has a bed with your name on it. Historic architecture comes as standard here. Farms and homes look as though they’ve barely noticed the last two centuries, and many of our inns and bed-and-breakfasts feel less like accommodation and more like borrowing a particularly well-kept life. Stay a night or two and you’ll start to feel like a local - mostly because everyone treats you like one.
These aren’t places for rushing. They’re for slow mornings, strong coffee, and being snug while the town goes about its business outside your window. Ask your host where the best pies are (everyone has an opinion, but ours is the Pumpkin Pie Diner), then take the long way there on foot. It’s what the locals do, and for a little while, so can you.
The Loomis Hotel
The Loomis Hotel is one of Millpond’s oldest and most frequented hotels in town. Its history stretches back to the mid-1850’s when it was built by Millpond magnate, Edward Loomis. Since then, the hotel has gathered a reputation all on its own, and is now widely regarded as one of the most haunted buildings in town. Guests have long reported ghostly sightings and unexplained occurrences, with some claiming the spirit of Edward Loomis himself still roams the halls. That said, the hotel is well maintained, spotlessly clean, and every guest is provided with fresh linen and towels. This hotel is a must stay… if you have the courage to do so. Please support your local Millpond hospitality.
Three Sisters Motel
Perched along the mountainside, this motel resort is a welcome sight to weary travellers coming from afar. It offers exactly what you want after a long journey: comfortable rooms, soft bedding, and the quiet relief knowing you can finally switch off. Each room comes equipped with its own TV and full channel access, with parental restrictions provided in the instruction manual. Instead of a pool outside, guests will find a small hedge maze tucked just around the side of the hotel, offering those who want to spend some time stretching their legs. Just remember where you entered from!
Mitchells Inn
Mitchells Inn is located just off the Town Square. It offers a unique stay within a historic building. The property is adults (and pets) only and highly rated for its excellent service and breakfast. Guests can enjoy air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and soundproofing. Additional amenities include free WiFi, a lounge, and a balcony that allows the aroma of Millie's Bakery from across the street to waft in, starting your morning off right! With its excellent location, Mitchells Inn offers perfect walking access to the rest of the town.
