Where to stay
After a long day wandering Millpond’s streets, woods, and waterfronts, you’ll need somewhere to rest that weary head. With luxurious lakeside hideaways, creaky heritage cabins tucked away in the hills, or one of our character-packed downtown inns, Millpond has a bed with your name on it. These aren’t places for those in a rush, they’re for lazy mornings, strong coffee, and being snug as a bug in a rug as the town goes about its business outside your window.
The Loomis Hotel
Millpond’s oldest hotel. It was built in the mid 1850’s by the idiosyncratic Edward Loomis. A man whose taste in architecture would leave even the most established designers bewildered. Having redeveloped the hotel many times over, over many years, this labyrinthian building leaves most guests pondering it’s actual size. Along with it’s grandeur design, guests who have stayed here, have told of haunts as ghostly as a Charles Dickens novel. Sightings of such apparitions often attract visitors from all over, but solid evidence have yet to surface. We encourage you to support local Millpond hospitality.
Three Sisters Motel
Perched along the mountainside, this motel resort is a welcome sight to weary explorers. It offers exactly what you want after a long hike: comfortable rooms, soft bedding, and a place to switch off and relax. Each room comes equipped with its own TV and full channel access, with parental restrictions provided in the instruction manual. In keeping with the nature that surrounds it, guests will find a beautiful hedge maze, for those who want to stretch their legs ready for the next trek. Just remember where you entered from!
Mitchells Inn
Located just off the Town Square, Mitchells Inn offers a unique stay within a historic building. The property is adults (and pets) only, and is highly rated for its unquestioning staff and discreet payment methods. Guests can enjoy air-conditioning, private bathrooms with baths big enough for two, access to all channels including adult entertainment, and impenetrable soundproofing. Additional amenities include free WiFi, a lounge, and an in-hotel drug store. With its excellent location, Mitchells Inn offers perfect walking access to the rest of the town.
